I was searching and happened upon this and thought this would be a hilarious way to prank her. So I ordered a real bath mat and this one and said this one was supposed to help make sure the new one wouldn't get moldy or whatever. The very first night I put it in the bathroom and she got out, she screamed as if an axe murderer was after her. She was in shock instantly so she never stopped to actually look at her feet or notice she didn't feel any pain. It was hilarious. Would definitely recommend; especially if you have gullible family/friends like me. Had no issues laying it down flat (I actually put it in between my two mattresses) but it would work with books or anything else that can lay it flat.

The description says it's not absorbent and that's accurate, water does pool and takes a while to dry but it is waterproof and the floor stays dry beneath. But because it stays wet for a while you get the benefit and bonus of surprising the heck out of yourself and others in your household even hours after use. Highly recommended for the spooky factor.
